Performance workshop which took place at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Wednesday, June 14 in conjunction with the exhibition Another World: The Transcendental Painting Group, 1938–1945.

Led by artist Edgar Fabián Frías, the workshop began with a mindfulness practice and a deep contemplative viewing of the artworks on display. Afterward, participants were encouraged to write or draw any messages, thoughts, or feelings they noticed during the experience.

Following this, participants were led into another room where they had the opportunity to create art using a variety of materials such as instruments, cardstock, markers, colored pencils, stencils, fabric, ribbons, various tapes, stickers, and more. They were encouraged to make songs, banners, outfits, and props for a procession.

The event concluded with a communal procession that started at the Resnick Pavilion, where the event took place, and moved down the Kendall Concourse, with a stop at the Smidt Welcome Plaza. Once there, the group formed a circle, and participants were given the chance to share individual performances within the space.

After the performances, the group returned to the Resnick Pavilion and engaged in a brief conversation about their experience.
